Magic in CLOK comes in a variety of flavors, however magic cannot be learned outside of particular guilds. Traditional elemental magics (aeromancy, pyromancy, geomancy, and hydromancy) can be learned by the Elemancers. However, there also exist thaumaturgy, cryomancy, sorcery, and druidry.

Thaumaturgy is used by those in the Church of Light. Cryomancy and sorcery can be learned by members of the Rook Parlour. Udemi can use both druidry, although in a limited manner. Other guilds may be able to learn some forms of magic but not all magic is channeled, such as the Faewyr variant of druidry and Mummer Words.
