Coup de Mort

Coup de Mort or "Blow of Death" is an ability of the Mercenaries of the Western Coalition.

Mercenaries are elitists in combat and are able to target the vital areas of a weakened opponent with deadly results. Performing a Coup de Mort is a difficult maneuver, but those on the receiving end of the maneuver rarely live to tell the tale.

• Mercenaries may attempt to Coup an opponent. If an opponent is not wounded or otherwise disabled the attack is highly likely to fail.

Factors which increase the chance of success include:

• If the target is prone or sitting.
• If the target is frozen, unconscious or otherwise disabled.
• Severe wounds
• Exhaustion
