Leatherworking
You can create create armor, clothing and containers from leather gotten from Skinning and Tanning. You can also repair leather armor.
Contents
Tools
- A dagger or knife.
- Leather.
- A worktable. (Will be available in most tanneries or their backrooms.)
Steps
- Optional Dye the tanned leather first, if desired, by pouring the dye onto the leather. You cannot dye fur.
1. clean skin/pelt
2. pour bottle on skin/pelt (requires brown bottle)
3. put skin on rack/frame
4. tan skin <type> [rigid/soft/natural]
5. put leather on worktable
6. trace <category> <item>
7. lcraft leather
Many projects will require several prepared pelts/skins to finish. Simply place as many as you need on the worktable.

Repairing
1. Place the damaged leather armor piece on the work table. (It must be on the table for the repair to work.)

Notes - Repairing can sometimes lower the quality of armor. This is a natural progression of armor since nothing can be repaired dozens of times and still be as good as fresh armor. The higher your skill the less likely this is to happen. Armor that has been greatly damaged may not be able to be repaired at and in some cases will always take a quality hit.
