Lem has a spotted horse he calls 'Old Paint', and a midnight black warhorse named 'Balmoral'. As his memory isn't the strongest, he often has to rely on the stablemaster to locate his horses before starvation sets in on them. Lem has a musical hobby, and can oft be seen strumming a varnished yew lute carved with intricate knotwork, though he is no master with it. Lemuel can be counted on to repay his loans, and is more likely than not to overlook wrongs done against him. | Lem has a spotted horse he calls 'Old Paint', and a midnight black warhorse named 'Balmoral'. Lemuel the locksmith is usually seen dressed in finest quality leathers of sable colour and a stylish tricorn hat. He is about six feet tall and appears to be mature. He has straight chin-length copper red hair and brooding ale-brown eyes, usually protected by a pair of reinforced steel and etched glass goggles. His skin is ruddy and his body's build is muscular. He bears an array of high-quality weapons, including sabre, longsword, a bandolier of assorted knives and stilettos, a cedar-handled long bronze musket, flintlock pistols, and most notably, a beautifully crafted rapier with a ruby-set gold hilt, crafted by Master Blacksmith Ardor and embellished by Wynthor.
This sharp rapier is beautifully crafted from steel. Intricate sigils dance along the length of the polished blade until it terminates at the sweeping braided gold swirls make up the swept-hilt. A flawless dark crimson ruby has been set into the pommel of the weapon, where tendrils of gold filigree grasp the faceted edges to show off the intricate setting. The crimson ruby set in the pommel was personally recovered by Lemuel himself from an abandoned lockbox.
Until recently, Lemuel was a regular in Shadgard until a 'misunderstanding' involving the lock on the orphanage's donation box led to his permanent removal from Shadgard. Lem claims he was there only to donate, and in fact he did make a contribution, but he was unsuccessful in persuading the deputy of this. Then again, there was the misadventure involving the Acting Mayor's private home. Despite his loss of citizenship in his hometown of Shadgard, Lemuel remains hopeful he will be able to be restored to good favour in his native town, perhaps by accomplishing something heroic on behalf of Shadgard.
