The Claw of Shar is rumored to be a secret society of assassins, with a loose alliance to the Corvus Outpost. Rumor has it that they receive training from the warlock Sceptus Corvus himself, and that in exchange they take occasional 'assignments' for the Outpost leadership.

The name of Shar is one whispered and speculated about in taverns and pubs. Rumors tell many tales about the fabled woman, with some suggesting she's a crazed werewolf, while others speak of a beautiful and dark Lady of some wealth.

What is truth and fable from these rumors is something few can actually attest to.

Playstyle

Overall

Assassins will be required to develop skills such as stealth, brawling and sorcery in order to advance in the Guild. Unlike thieves, an assassin is a deadly opponent and is expected to never show remorse or guilt. The contract is the assassin's honor.

An assassin's stealth abilities are enhanced by their knowledge of the Nether, allowing them to harness and utilize the very shadows to bend to their will and to their advantage. This is particularly useful as a known assassin will often find themselves on the wrong side of the law and facing open hostilities from those they have attacked, or kin of those they have killed.

However, a true assassin is one who knows discretion.

Combat

Assassins are adept in hand-to-hand combat and know how to target an opponent's weak points. Their tactics are designed to demoralize, isolate and drain hope from their mark. A target overcome with fear and surprise is much less likely to be able to retaliate or even respond effectively.
