Hafted weapons tend to be heavy and powerful, useful for landing powerful singular blows and crushing or hacking through armor, though they are a bit awkward to wield and parry with. Relying greatly on momentum and concussive force, hafted weapons can potentially harm a shield-bearer's arm even when a blow is blocked. This skill does not include polearms, which depend on the Polearms skill.
