Preemptive Guardian is an ability learned by the Knights Templar.
The Knights Templar are known to selflessly hurl themselves in harm's way in order to guard another, but they need not simply stand there and take a beating. With this training, a Knight will develop the perception and reflexes necessary to not only take a strike for a guarded ward, but to preemptively strike at anyone who moves to harm those the Templar is guarding.
(A passive chance to auto-attack anyone attacking someone the Templar is actively guarding. This attack will incur fatigue and roundtime as any other attack would. The chances for this to ability to occur are negatively effected by the Templar's current roundtime.)
