"Purity" is actually the lack of any afflictions. While this may sound nice, player characters must be aware that a character without any afflictions will therefore have nothing to bind their soul to the mortal world upon death, and so their death will be permanent - their soul will pass on when separated from the body.
In case that didn't sink in: IF YOU CHOOSE PURITY AS YOUR "AFFLICTION," DEATH WILL BE PERMANENT! There will be no chance for resurrection. Your character will be gone forever, and you will not be able to re-use the character name or "re-roll." Players should consider this "hardcore mode."
