Be nice if there was an active command you could use in these situations, within a small window of when it happens, that lets you brace for an ambush.

QTE I know, but as it stands you either leave, or search and put yourself into RT.

I don't think leaving is really an option either, since the "being watched" message means you're being stalked, so you'd just drag them along with you. Which *can* be fun if you want them in a specific room, but you're still getting ambushed.

If you see this message, it means they succeeded in the roll against you but only by a relatively small percentage. It's technically a skill success on the stalker's part and a failure on the target's part, and the message is just there to tip the target off that something's up, not to give them any kind of special action opportunity. Searching puts you in roundtime, but if you find them they're not going to get an ambush bonus against you if attacking is their intent.

Or search. If it's frustrating to be made aware that something's up but not be given a special bonus/opportunity associated with it, I could just remove the message. I don't like the idea of penalizing the stalker for what was a successful roll against their target.

That's fair enough. I didn't realize it was such a small window as to when it shows. And it isn't frustrating, so much as odd. Admittedly, I imagine if it happened in a more non-hostile environment beyond when it normally occurs, having the heads up to arm is a big bonus.
