First off - thank you so much for adding merit gains back into the game. It's been very helpful.
To that effect - would it be possible to add some sort of merit point scaling based on the mob difficulty for Templars? Currently the amount generated for a near-max skill mob seems really low for the amount of time taken to defeat it. For things like the golems, which have multiple tiers, each one does give a small amount which is nice. But given the merit cost of things in the Church, it would still take a considerable amount of grinding mobs to sustain a character on merit alone - and at max/near max skill level the incentive to continue to grind mobs isn't as high as the incentive to RP. This won't be nearly as big of an issue when tasks are re-implemented, but until then a girl's gotta eat. I haven't noticed any issue on my Monk because they can just heal any injury for merit.
Merit Scaling
Re: Merit Scaling
Maybe an alternative could be instead of scaling based on mob skill/rolls it could be based on skill/rolls relative to your character. So like... if I just needed some quick points to buy some food I can go kill super weak nethrim but I would need a bunch of them, or if I went for mobs that "grant skill" or are challenging, then they'd give a larger amount per mob and I'd need fewer.
Re: Merit Scaling
curious if it'd be better if the merit gain was like how another guild functioned and done by hitting the nethrem specifically. Driving off humanoids would still require them to despawn, but one can earn merit for wacking away at a ghost before it finally vanishes, getting a chunk full of funds for the effort.
We just need the caveat that the attack should also do some damage to avoid people farming merit by hitting a spectral nethrem with a bronze sword.

Re: Merit Scaling
I would be ok with that. Points for effort is cool. I'm not sure that's what would count realistically for a templar as far as RP, but nobody's perfect haha.
