I was considering recently the general Templar mindset, and I see them typically as focused people with minimal worldly needs, only requiring things suited to their sworn tasks. I don't want them to take a vow of poverty or anything, but the concept does sort of seem to lend itself to the Templar (and monks), in my opinion.
On that note, I was considering changing up the Templar shop a bit and planning futures shops to be able to grant items in exchange for guild promotion points. The overall idea would be that you are proving yourself to the Templar, and as you do, the Templar provide you with tools to accomodate you forwarding the organization's work - weapons, armor, mounts, and so on. To clarify, these "purchases" would reduce the Templar's current guild promotion points, it wouldn't just be "free" items granted at certain threshholds.
I think this would also help prevent people from just using riln to buy a bunch of things from the Armory and then giving/selling them to other characters (which should not be happening).
Guild Points as a psuedo-currency
Guild Points as a psuedo-currency
The lore compels me!
I really like this idea. It is kind of odd that you have to forage/chop/mine for a lot of(Several Thousand) riln to buy the very armor which is needed to do your intended job.. banish the damned.

The elements are slaves to no being. One must learn to ask for their aid, the elements offer power to the humble. This is why no one is truly a master yet everyone is a student..
