Could this be perfected do that someone could choose which bag to steal from or possibly an new ability which allows a thief to open small containers such as pouches?

Thieves will never be able to open a closed container on a mark. People need a reliable way to keep their stuff safe on their person. More often than not, people are either too lazy or too forgetful to keep their containers closed all the time. A certain someone's ongoing success at theft in such a small community is fair proof of that.
As far as targeting a specific container, this is planned for later development.
