Lockbox content suggestion thread

Post by Zeldryn »

As the title implies, use this as your space to contribute neat ideas for things to find in lockboxes.

I don't have fun ideas. I just wanted to post this while the thought occurred.

GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO
You declaratively shout, "frack Corvus. Support Shadgardians."
Zeldryn nods simply, that said, folding his arms back beneath a striated fiery-orange wool poncho.
Several townsfolk cheer in response to Zeldryn's shout!

Old corks (bonus points if there's a chance for them to have like, old wax seals attached so we can get a cheeky lil glimpse of the aesthetics of the past)

Empty salt cellar

A <metal> disk bearing an impression of <emblem>

Gold bouillon <can't be melted down, only sold to the pawn shop>

A small ball carved from <wood type>

The brim of a hat

Just a few things that I was thinking about:

Miscellaneous crafting components - "antique" crossguards and pommels, various arrow and bolt heads, random engraved things. Sure, it won't show up in the look when something's assembled, but the pieces can be looked at individually and would be neat. Various materials, adjectives, qualities, et cetera.

Flasks of various flavors with a variety of drinks.

Antique coins from different countries.

Jewelry of non-esp pendant designs

... I'll think of more eventually.
A shadowy wolf with luminous blue eyes emerges from the edge of the redwood grove, its stance and gait non-aggressive. Maintaining several yards distance, it sits. Several others begin to emerge from various points in the foliage around you, causing you to realize you have been surrounded. The first wolf stares at Vighon for many long moments, unmoving and unblinking, as the surrounding wolves remain still. Then the first wolf stands, turns, and heads back into the redwood grove. The surrounding wolves disappear back into the surroundings.

Stuffed children's dolls, or animals.
A man walking through stops to glare at Ceridwenn and says, "Hey, lady! Pack your things, I'm kickin' you outta town for the crime of putting your filthy boots up on the table like a heathen!" Someone from a nearby table then laughs, "Jord, stop being a jackwagon, they'd never let you wear a militia badge!" The first man then snickers and ambles, rather drunkenly it appears, to join his friend at the other table.

rusty jars of jam. You can open them and eat them, but you might get sick.

I miss the half-chewed through collar.
You say, "There's got to be a joke in this."

A few more things that came to mind:

a [material] compass - Small enough to fit in the palm of the hand and circular in shape, this small compass has a needle on a small pin that points towards the north.
A [material]-handled magnifying glass - This glass is finely ground and framed with [material] and set upon a matching handle.
** Bonus points if it could be used to light fires while outdoors, on a clear day, in the hours around zenith
a [material] collapsible pocket telescope - Two [material] tubes, in diminishing diameters, join together and hold twin lenses at either end. A small, flared eyepiece has been fitted to one end.
A collapsible [material] cup - A small collapsing cup crafted from battered [material], this vessel is still capable of holding liquids.
**4 oz cup
A [material] candle lantern - Small and square, with a glass-paned door and a brightly polished plate for reflecting light, this small lantern features a thin handle across the top and uses standard candles in lieu of oil.
** Put a candle inside instead of emberlight oil
