Feint and Hamstring

Post by Landion »

I did some fast coding today and have Feint and Hamstring currently ready to go for Mercenaries.

These are likely to be a little buggy until I have time to polish them this weekened, but feel free to test.

Enjoy!

Seems a bit odd to have such a high feint defense while unconscious. Also... what does this skill even do? I see that it adds RT to the target, but the FLANKing mechanic? Does that just lower defenses drastically?

In order to Hamstring a target, you must first be flanking them. Feint allows you to do this, without the need to use the FLANK command, which typically fails if the target is not surrounded by enemies.

While flank does lower defenses somewhat, the more important thing it does is lays the foundation for combination attacks.

Feint> Hamstring.

Or, better yet!

Feint> Hamstring>Coup de Mort.

I do agree, being unconcious should play into those skills. I'll be sure to try to update that soon. A lot of the Merc skills havn't been ironed out completely, and havn't been tested as much as I would like.

Keep the feedback coming and I'll see what tweaks can be made!

I've updated Feint to work differently on an unconscious target, and added bonuses for other effects, like being sapped, frozen, etc.

Hopefully this works out a bit better.
