New combat mechanic

Is there a skill that will help us disengage from critters easier? Like Melee? The reason I ask is I can't even disengage from the training warrior in the barracks.

Melee should help your chances. I'll double-check it and make sure it's working as intended.

Another thought...while being mounted on horseback are you able to disengage faster or easier?
