wilderness food

Post by Lun »

Snowpiners foraging ability: adds a few wildtype seeds to foraging encounters, or set up in a barter shop in the Lodge. Wildtype seeds like wild yam are specially selected for their high nutrition and quick growth time, but they aren't delicious nor desired when compared to their commercial equivalent.

Wild yam
Wild taro
Wild sweet potato

Short growth time, and when cooked, are filling.
Can't be sold on the market.

Because berries get boring after a while, and it's more immersive to farm a small plot of plants than it is to head into town and buy a billion travel rations or to eat only meat and berries. Gimme some cultivated roots!

Also, an option to make stock from animal fat or animal meat would be appreciated for those who would rather not enter a town if they can. Water works as an alternative but I'd like to be able to make my own stock from wild ingredients too. I don't mind entering towns on my Snowpiners but it kind of feels like I'm cheating when I buy things premade.
