Character descriptions

Post by Kunren »

Well it was talked about earlier in another thread, but no thread cropped up, so I figured I'd start one up here. Let's go with avoiding description of clothing since that changes pretty regularly, but tattoos and the like (or near permanently worn hair changes) would be acceptable I think.

Ok! Let's start with Taric, since I made the thread, heh.

You see a short young man here, looking to be somewhere around 20 years of age. He has rather thick amber colored hair without a hint of curl, that seems to somehow be styled into short spikes sprouting from his head. He has thin eyebrows a shade darker than his hair above bright eyes that match the color of his amber hair. His nose is rather small and thin, coming to a near point above a large, expressive mouth. His face is a bit thin, with a sharply defined chin. He has quite tanned skin and a runners build, thin but wired with muscle. His lanky arms lead to hands with long, well calloused fingers. You also notice several curved scars along his face, leading from his eyebrow to the edge of his lips, containing dark ink set into them. He has a sleeve tattooed on his arm, leading from a raven on his upper bicep holding the hilt of a blue longsword, above an open book and a pouch of riln spilling pieces along his forearm. He is covered in a multitude of extremely well healed, light scars all across his body, almost unnoticeable beyond the sheer number.

Alrighty, let's take a break from studying. Here's Ahelis:

This woman is a tad on the small side in build and height. Her physique is unremarkable, but it's clear from the few calluses on her hands and the tautness of her arms that she is used to some physicality. Her hair, when not tied into a severe braid down her neck, falls coarse and black and roughly-cut over her shoulders in windblown locks. Thick, expressive eyebrows sit high atop heavy lidded eyes that only jolt awake for being a bright silver-grey in color, contrasting with the bronzed olive complexion of her skin. An even nose and dark, fullish lips that dimple her cheeks when drawn into a smile round out her oval face for an altogether mild look. The effect is only broken by a paper-thin line of scar tissue that draws up from her left eyebrow to her hairline, partly faded by the passage of time. She looks to be in her early twenties according to the last scant hints of adolescent curvature along her cheeks and jaw that have not yet been, but soon will be, fully grown into.

Enjoy.
Standing at about 5 and a half feet, this fair skinned adult male carries himself with a sense of easy confidence that is only bestowed upon those who are comfortable with the ins and outs of their life. Silver hair is separated into many thin braids with an intricate pattern of purple and green beads that reach just past his shoulders and cover small ears that lay flat against his head. He has a thin brow which rests atop violet-flecked dark green eyes and squinty eyelids. A short pointed nose, thin lips, and a sharp chin along with high cheek bones leave him with a bird like visage. What can be seen of his muscles, though not large by any measure, seem taut and well exercised.

Fayne stands at five feet, five inches tall, with an athletic build that suggests an active lifestyle. Her hair snow white hair spills down her back and across her shoulders like a waterfall, not a single curl or crinkle to interupt it. Her thin eyebrows are the same stunning white, and this simply adds to the intensity of her gray eyes. Her small nose curves ever so slightly upward, and below that her thin lips convey a stern yet thoughtful expression. Her olive skin shows noticable tan lines, but is otherwise largely free of marks or blemishes. Her small hands and thin fingers appear soft and gentle, though evidence of calluses are beginning to appear on the fingers of her right hand.

Holy crap. I read the first part of your post and thought ' I could help her, I think I'll offer.' Then I read the second part, and you basically said what I thought. Lol

But in all seriousness, just because I like writing descriptions doesn't mean I'm any good at it. I'm told my writing style is fairly decent, but everyone has different tastes, so...
