The VPS we were using was nice at first but got worse over time. Considering the price (it was extremely cheap) this didn't come as a surprise, but the main reason for switching to the VPS was the supposed guaranteed network uptime. There were several instances when the hosting datacenter went offline, so this guarantee apparently wasn't worth much, and we've axed that idea. We're back on the home server for now, and should be moving to a better network soon. Apologies for any lag issues that may be experienced in the meantime.
I don't know about anyone else, but I was having lag issues on the VPS the last few weeks anyway.
