Boots-pattern Stitched Boar Boots

Post by Elystole »

The other day I was making fur armor when I received an error that that automatic leatherworking script had failed (bug 11070). When I tried lcraft again I received the command execution failed message (bug 11071).

But I think this is the really weird part:
You carefully examine some boots-pattern stitched boar boots...
The exquisite boar fur looks like it has been traced to be crafted into some sort of armor.
It is a medium-sized item, mainly made of fur.
It can be worn in the shoes inventory slot.
It is a protective garment, classified as leather armor, and would afford the following levels of protection:
Rake: Good
Slash: Terrible
Pierce: Poor
Bludgeon: Poor
Crush: Poor
Hack: Terrible
It appears to be in good repair.
It appears to be of above-average quality.
Yes, you can wear them. I guess the automatic leathercrafting script crashed when it finished the item but before it renamed it. I still have them in my inventory if a GM wants to look at them.
You overhear the following rumor:
"I saw one of those Shadgard folk come barging into Grif's and shoot one of the patrons on the spot. Shadgard must be a pretty rough place with such outlaws running rampant."

I received this same bug twice in a row where when the boots finished they glitched out, trying to continue working on them created the command execution failed error, but the items were still missing their proper adjectives and nouns.

Kind of a bummer. This is a special request for a client using rare materials.
You overhear the following rumor:
"I saw one of those Shadgard folk come barging into Grif's and shoot one of the patrons on the spot. Shadgard must be a pretty rough place with such outlaws running rampant."

Think I found and fixed the cause of this particular bug. I'll fix those boots next time I see you on.
The lore compels me!

Rias, thanks for taking a look at that bug. I'll have to test it later.

I sent up a request and Vinz stopped by and fixed the short-desc and long-desc so that I could deliver the items (thanks again), but he wasn't able to affix the craftmark. No big deal, I just mention it in case you hadn't looked at that part of the code yet. Also, I didn't realize this until I delivered the items and the client started weighing them, but the boots were coming in at under two pounds instead of the usual three.

If you want a busted item to examine, I have the average pair sitting in my workcart in my house.
