Hiatus

Post by Elystole »

I will be away from CLOK for an indeterminate amount of time.

My brother helped me realize something important the other day: When I was going through a really rough period of my life, video games were my escape. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, as most people in that sort of situation turn to drugs and alcohol instead and now their lives are a wreck, but it means I have this deeply rooted habit of gaming. Games like MUDs are the worst for me because my competitiveness drives me to be the best, and the fact that they are always on means that when I'm not playing I feel like I'm falling behind. When I started playing CLOK I was in another rough period, but I don't need that escapism anymore. That habit is getting in the way.

So I will be doing other things for a while. If you need to talk to Elystole about something critically important, PM me and I'll see about logging on briefly.
You overhear the following rumor:
"I saw one of those Shadgard folk come barging into Grif's and shoot one of the patrons on the spot. Shadgard must be a pretty rough place with such outlaws running rampant."

While I'm sad to see you go, I commend you for prioritizing and wish you the greatest luck in your pursuits. I hope you at least pop back in every now and then to visit!
The lore compels me!

Take care of yourself man. We'll be here.
"I don't think we're ever going to find out what is going on with these canim, where are they coming from?!"
Kent arrives from the southeast.
Kent hugs you.
say um
You say, "Um."
a Mistral Lake sentry arrives from the east, armor clanking.
Kent heads north.
