Let us write on vials (please!)

It would be awesome if there was a 20 character label baked into every vial so I don't have to wonder whose blood I am grabbing. Thanks!

This was a thing in COGG. It was really neat, and added a spooky layer if a warlock happened to pull our /your/ blood in front of you. Suggestion. Don't do that in front of the wrong person.

Giving this another bump. My collection keeps growing, but at this point I have no idea whose blood is whose. Seems like something that code already exists for since we got built-in labels with the yuletide packages.

I'd like to see this system, and also for some other things. Instead of labels being ridiculous, let us TITLE a folder or document. Maybe we could buy labels that specifically only worked on big containers like crates or chests or whatnot.

A generic labeling command that simply appends ", labeled as <15 character label text>" to a targeted item would be a wildly beneficial QOL feature and would eliminate needing snowflake code for specific types of items.

As long as it was limited to specific items, and tightly. Labels were bad, in the last game.

I have no context whatsoever for how adding 15 characters to an item's description is bad, so unless you'd be so kind as to share, I suppose I'll just have to take your word for it.

What's the passive aggression for? This is an opinion that many players have developed over years, and one that has been stated by the developer. Sorry for having thoughts about a publicly proposed idea.

However, examples:

- People labeled weapons (silly, spammy).
- People used labels a lot for jokes ('don't label this jar')
- They were an extra bit of bloat (would be fixed by an attached command).

I never said it was a bad idea, in fact quite the opposite. I just think that we should be able to label folders, documents, crates, chests and maybe trunks, and perhaps a few other intended to be stationary organization items like barrels.

None intended. I'm just not privy to any opinions or comments from before I joined the game, and am not aware of everything Rias has said at some point or another in the past, that's all. It's a genuine question - 'this is bad' doesn't help me understand why on its own.

I did not play CLOK or COGG, so unless it's been said recently, I'm not aware of it. The 'everyone knows X' assumption doesn't apply to new players.

I do play another MUD where you can label any item you can pick up and carry, though the labels are only visible when you look directly at them/examine them, which cuts down on spam.
