Metal Wires and Bead Jewelry!

It would be really cool to make metals into wires, and do different work with beads. Maybe use a drill and a certain type of polishing style,. maybe make a way to make different types of knot patterns too. It would give Jewelry crafters something else they could perhaps aim for, and it's just really cool! thoughts?

not only metal wires but like leather thongs and such. I like it. It's neat.

Also, while we're on this subject, it would be neat to be able to cut quarts and such into effigies and such.

So some more info I saw on this. I learned the in order to make wire, metal workers use what's called a draw plate. It's a circular disk of metal, with different sized holes. you take the hot metal you have and pull it through the differing sized holes in order to get the thickness and shape you want. then it can be braded, or tied, or what have you. Artisans could buy said object like chisels and use it in jewelry making, being able to make braded wire bracelets and other bead jewelry. Anyway just posting this info to explain how wire can be made.

I would love that, and maybe we could eventually get pearls for them too. oh and of course, pearls mean oysters, clams, and muscles, and we all love it when we get new things to eat.

I could see this being part of the unfinished pottery skill as well. You could make ceramic beads.

I didn't even think about that, but that's true. You could even glaze them different colors. you could make bone beads, or have artisans have access to buying glass beads. Lots of possibilities.
