Question about personal mines.

I'm trying to get copper from my personal mine. But I'm having difficulties. I realize I can use the public mines to get copper, but I'd like to find it in my mine.

So far my personal mine is 4 rooms big. I've found various ores, like; iron, tin, zinc and and few others... but never copper. Do I need more rooms to find copper? or less rooms? I figure copper should be easier to find then iron.

Copper can definitely be found in player mines. In fact it should be quite common and it doesn't matter how many rooms you have, you have a chance for copper.

So, you are either having really bad (or good) luck. Keep on mining, you'll find some eventually!
