Can we get the worms changed just a little? This is how my fights with them go: Get a crevice, check whats inside or wait to see what comes out. WOOOOORMS! Try to run. Get knocked down every time you stand up again and wait to die.

Obviously with the worms inside the mine I cannot use it anymore and with no one else online to clear it (well Ameris was on but he cannot kill them either) it basically ruins the game for me until the time someone powerful enough (Spearhead/Evelyn/etc) logs in since those worms also easily slay all the lower skill fighters. Obviously, all the riln you are carrying when the worms spawn are lost since you cannot get back in there.


Also, while "fighting" I noticed that even after standing up, my block and dodge values were still at 0.

1 - Your riln doesn't get picked up by the janitor, it will sit in your mine and wait for you or someone else to pick up.

2 - The 0 defenses is intended as at that point you were surrounded by worms leading to total defensive push down after a time. This is normal, and intended when facing multiple opponents. 4-5 people surrounding even a basilisk or roc would push its defenses down to 0.

3 - Traders have the means available to them to be able to handle these worms, even without combat skills. It comes in the form of a hiresword.

I understand that it can be frustrating, but this mechanic is balanced by the chance for a lot of good things to happen too, and it's reasonable given the other options available to you to handle it when something happens like this. Worms currently are the worst thing that can occur, and have a very low chance to proc.

I'm willing to look at the knock down attack and perhaps make it so that only the stronger worms have that option, or that they use it less often. I can certainly see how getting knocked over 35 times in a row ( I counted) without a chance for another option could be frustrating.

You also might want to take into consideration, Landion, that the worms can leave the mine which means that they can wander upon low leveled characters, and in the wilderness that can be really deadly for them.

Not anymore. Critters will stay in your mine now. Dun dun dun. I attribute this to the cave worms preferring the dark tunnels to the light outside.

Oh, and the lesser worms won't do a knock down attack anymore. Just the tougher ones which are a bit less common.

Might I add after looking at Ardor's log again, that busting head first into a mysterious cavern, in the dark, may not be the wisest choice, especially when you know it could be bad.

That's your choice then if you don't want to spend the riln, but it doesn't mean it isn't available to you as a reasonable solution when you are the only person online.

I understand you're frustrated. I would be too, getting knocked down 35 times in a row. I'm simply pointing out that you do have options and choices you could make to ease your pain, and that this mechanic is reasonable.
