So I have been attempting to complete some tasks as an elemancer. My question is if the tasks we get all have to do with killing things. I have tried to get more than a few tasks but all have asked me to find something and kill it.
Is it possible to add other tasks?
I think it would be really cool to survey different areas for their elemental frequencies or how receptive an area is to a certain element. For example, a river is more aligned with hydromancy obviously. Perhaps we could be sent to areas and while channeling an element "Survey" the area or something else.
Or go to the library to research a topic and we need to get a book and read it then return to the guildmaster.
These are just some suggestions.
Tasks
Elemancers aren't supposed to be getting kill tasks (they're an academic university, not a warmage academy), so that's been fixed. You should be getting points for casting at challenging targets if you're unable to get the hydro or geo tasks. More tasks will be introduced soon.
What you suggested is exactly how the current geo and hydro tasks work, incidentally.

The lore compels me!
One area you could apply to aeromancers and a survey would be within the mountains, such as the ebon pass or any other mountain range. We go to the mountains and survey the higher altitude air flows, rare and pure airflows. I am working on some ideas for other survey areas for pyromancers.
What do you feel about having us find books for the University as well? We could be sent to different cities to locate books that people have to bring back to add to the library. These could be scrolls, tomes, etc. But would give the feeling that we are helping our University expand it's resources.
