Pyro Shield

Pyro Shield is now available to elemancers who know the Shield Pattern. Caution is advised, especially for those inexperienced in pyromancy!

I've been told this does not provide light to a room. Would it be possible if it did? Just a random idea I had.

Maybe unrelated, but do you get a bonus for being a room with noticeable elemental strengths? I.e., a bonus to your hydro spells for being in shallow or deep water, aero in a windy place, fire in a hot place (like a desert), geo in a mine or cave, etc?

It's been considered, but currently, no. We're not against the idea, just haven't gotten around to seriously considering the aspects and applications.

Am I having badluck or is it something more: I cannot seem to maintain a pyroshield while mounted for more than ten seconds, sometimes i cannot hold one for three seconds.
