Should there be Elemancy effects that only are effective while in position Eng or while in position Rng?

What I mean is another pattern, for two types of specialization:

...a short ranged blast that will have increased damage while the target is engaged, though its damage is reduced down to a tenth of the original damage if the target maneuvers to ranged position in time.

...a long ranged focused beam would have a significant increased accuracy while their target is at ranged though the accuracy is reduced down to a fifth of the original if the target managed to close this distance.

I like the idea of this. Maybe give a slight increased round time for either of these, versus a raw cast?
