Random cooking ideas!

There are a lot of different meats that I've encountered (wolf, cougar, deer, bison ect ect.) and tons of fish so for the below I just put meat and fish instead of just naming them all. I'm half asleep so imagine what I could come up with when I'm fully awake. >.>

meat (fish) + berries (straw or ember) = berry-glazed (meat/fish)

meat (fish) + carrots = (meat) with crisped cooked carrots

meat (fish) + carrots + potatoes + wine or water + pot = dark meat (fish) stew

meat (fish) + potatoes = (meat) with crisped cooked potatoes

meat (fish) + mushrooms = (meat) with sauteed dark mushrooms

I could come up with more of these, I can even come up with the tastes when you eat them.

Adding to this :

berries + dough (dough will take some thinkin') = pie

I imagine somewhere down the line we could purchase this from a sundries shop, something that sells premade dough, pasta and a few other things that would go well with cooking. Milk, expensive spices (curry?)

so for like pie you'd put dough in the skillet, add berries, then put more dough in the skillet = pie

one dough + fruit = (fruit) fritter

hold fruit in one hand, put fruit in dough, fold dough, put "pocket" in pan = fruit pockets!

I can do this all day..

As an addition to farming and cooking, I'd like to see livestock that can be tended for eggs and milk. Perhaps even butchered.

If this is too complex, maybe just the option to buy a jug of milk or cream at the bakery which can be used for dessert construction as well as creating meat/vegetable in a cream sauce.

If something like this is already in game, apologies for missing it! I was really just looking for milk to go with my flapjacks.

Livestock has always been on the "that'd be awesome if we had" list (there's even a line about livestock on the main web page), and it's plenty possible to implement. Low-priority, but planned.

Curing foods with salt and sugar would be great.

The former would be simple, just requiring a drying rack and the addition of salt to the meat.

The latter would require coating various fruits in sugar, which acts as a preservative (and also creates candy!)

It would be great to be able to tap a maple tree for sap, collect the sap in a container, then boil the sap over a fire for maple syrup.
