Blacksmithing adornments with gems

Post by Nobody »

Low priority but lengthy request, because it's a wish list (sorry, and thank you):

I would love to have forged weapons and armor show up with a shorter short description when adorned with 'forge adornment jeweled' to strip out 'polished cabochon of ' and '<type> cut ', so that 'an iron sledgehammer inlaid with a polished cabochon of red ruby' read instead as 'an iron sledgehammer inlaid with a red ruby' as the short string, while the long string when the item is looked at identifies the ruby as a polished cabochon or faceted with a particular cut. This would reduce the string length for readers and screen readers, while allowing the info to be preserved by those careful enough to look for more details. As an alternative or additional request, if gems from loot boxes (which lack the cabochon and cut clauses entirely) could be used with forge adornment jeweled that would allow for the same and may or may not be less work. That change would have the added benefit of encouraging artisans that like the shorter strings to go adventure, or to trade with other players who get loot boxes. The last wish list items is probably more complicated than it's worth, but I'd love to see it all the same. The first is expanding forge adornment jeweled to work a little more like forge adornment custom where you pick from the same list as jcraft (reproduced here for convenience: 'set with, adorned by, inset with a single, displaying a, studded with, inlaid with') or a reduced list (just 'set with, studded with, or inlaid with'). Thank you for the time and consideration.
