Stone Canyon

Post by Bryce »

Checking out this area, I like it a lot. It looks like a bunch of creatures are getting stuck down in the mine, though. I've seen wolves, boars, mountain lions, those hyra creeps, and even rocs. I'm guessing they're not all supposed to be hanging around down there in large groups. Probably has to do with the darkness.

Bugger. I'll probably just make it so they can't go into the mine. (As that place will/does have its own challenges.) Thanks for the heads up.

I just discovered some of those challenges. Really cool, but a very small area. Will the areas down there be expanded?

Critters from outside shouldn't be able to enter it anymore.

And yes, I'd like to expand that area a bit more in the future. Perhaps when some unsuspecting miners will break into another spot later. For now, I just wanted to get things released as the Canyon as a whole turned into a larger project than I had anticipated.

From what I understand, a river runs all the way through Stone Canyon. Perhaps this river can run out into the wilderness as well, and perhaps anywhere along the river it could be possible to fill a water barrel or bucket, similar to the scarecrow lake.

The river along the riverside trail inside the canyon now works as a water source. I'll talk with Landion (who made the Stone Canyon area) about where the river goes once it exits the canyon.

Have been wondering this for a while, but why don't hyra carry any riln? Do they have some other form of currency? Seems a little odd to me as they have their own village and shops.

They probably have a more primitive, bartering based system.

Did I hear trade? Do they have anything of value? Will they take corn or bronze as payment?

Yeah. They wear jewelry that sells for quite a bit in limited amounts...

...I'm starting to think you find a lot of the things I find hilarious. I'm waiting to get another large weapon to the head and have you pop down off the clouds to point and laugh.

You just point out funny stuff! Jirato might have a more serious answer. The wolves might be wary of the mountain lions and are pointing out their presence to their packmates, or something. Or it could be unintended. I think it's a neat little dynamic, myself, when critters interact with one another somehow.

Oh, I love the interaction. Just probably defeats the point of the lion trying to stealth up on me. >.< Puppy made the Kitty easy to smash in the head.
