I know before, "transfer" wasn't working right so one could transfer 58 or more chunks of ore into a furnace. and smelt 'em all in one shot...a limit of 6 items only into a furnace was understandably set.
But with transfer now working properly, was it intended that that this 6 item limit remain? For example, we can't
transfer 24 tiny-bars into the furnace even though they would logically fit.

Furnaces should have a hard-coded item limit of 6 the same way mortars have a hard-coded item limit of 3, you can't even manually put 20 tiny bars into a furnace with the PUT command. It doesn't have to do with their weight.
