I've been thinking for a while that the rooting and fear effects the mournful shades found in the Shadgard mine and in other places could use some looking at.
Maybe it would be interesting to have it to where the effects are somewhat diminished with exposure. The reason for this would be that at first, they could be frightening, but then after a while they just turn into an annoyance. I don't imagine one would be as frightened of them after a time, especially when one spends a lot of time in a place like the Shadgard mine.

Re: Those Mournful Shades!!
They're working as intended. The fear is a supernatural effect that essentially directly flips on the "terror" switch in your brain. One can't really just get used to it.
The lore compels me!
