Beekeeping

Post by qinweiqi »

So, I don't really keep bees, but I've thought about it from time to time. I've mused that I might when I actually own a house. My wife sent me a link this morning and I had to share because it blew my mind. Anyway, if any of you are fascinated with bees or are amateur apiculturists, check it out. And for the rest of you that are not fascinated with bees in the least, how is that even possible? How are you not fascinated by bees? ;)

I shudder in horror seeing any flying or buzzing insect after being chased by a wasp and stung when I was a toddler. Bees that get too close either tend to get slapped or treated to my manly schreeches as I flee.

Not a fan of anything that buzzes or crawls. The sound freaks me out more than anything. Just try shutting your eyes and having a fly or a bee fly past you when you're not expecting it.

Fair and fair. I expected insect allergies to be among the top issues, surprised I haven't seen that. Also, sorry I forgot about the visually impaired community with my post. The main component of the site is a video about recently developed/in development type of beekeeping hive that allows draining the honey without opening the hive -- sorry about that.

Very interesting. I would be interested to see how it works.

Yeah, I was totally hoping for an in-depth demo.

By which I mean it's cool and I like seeing how things work.
You overhear the following rumor:
"I saw one of those Shadgard folk come barging into Grif's and shoot one of the patrons on the spot. Shadgard must be a pretty rough place with such outlaws running rampant."

Indiegogo campaign is now live, and is over 1000% funded in the first day. The opener video on this page does have a video demo of how it actually works.

"Hey, Internet? We need $70,000."

"HERE'S $1.2 MILLION!"
