For someone who wants a profession in hunting, it would be nice if 'hunt' could be somewhat less random. If you're going out hunting for fox, rather than duck, maybe you could toggle an option to see that. Perhaps you'd have to wait longer for your wanted prey, but still. If I'm out hunting geese, I don't really care if squirrels or rabbits run by.
Also, maybe while 'surveying' you can have a chance to see what game is in the area. Or 'survey game'/'survey hunt' to get a general idea, with the chance based off of whatever hunt currently uses (perception/stealth?) and possibly with a bonus from things that make sense, like track/druidry... etc.
