Adding existing weapons to forging

Post by Ardor »

There are quite a few weapons in the game that cannot be forged yet. Could maybe a few of them be added to the list?
Here are a few I can think off:

Main Gauche
Battle Flail
Lance
Falx
Khopesh
Katar
Knife
Caestus
Dussack
Hatchet
Javelin
Claidhmore
Rudis
edit: Kukri knife

And maybe a few metal tools like tongs or forging hammers?

I could see most of those being added at some point except for the katar, claidhmore, caestus and rudis. The first 3 are guild only items and the rudis should only be done in woodworking.

I'll talk with the GM staff and if we agree on green-lighting these, I'll see what I can do.

I added most of these so that Artisans with forging training will be able to craft them. I didn't add 'knife' as there are many different kinds of knives and 'Battle Flail' as that can already be crafted under another name. It is just called a 'flail'.

Oh, I also just added the forging-hammer. Be advised that its quality does not affect your forging ability but the quality will matter if it is used in combat. I also skipped over the tongs as we don't really have a category for it yet and I rather not create a new one till be have a bunch of similar items.

Kukris are supposed to be unique and un-forgeable. If you made/received any and they haven't mysteriously disappeared, please report and hand them over to a GM.

The falx and khopesh are two other exotic ones that have been removed for now, and will likely be added later under special circumstances.

And in Noccy's defense, I did approve his list and just overlooked the ones that have been removed, so you can all grumble at Rias for getting and then losing the super exotic ones (for now ... dun dun dunnnn).

Well, I still like the new stuff.
I also got rid of the Falx and the Khopesh I made.

Could it be that the weight on some of those things is a bit off? The few I checked so far seem to weigh half the weight of the materials used.

Could put tongs under metal dishes, utensils, mugs, ect if you can't forge those already or something. Making a set of silverware would be cool.
