IG Newspaper: Editors wanted!

Post by Rias »

I'm starting up an IG newspaper. I'd like to fill it out with lots of content, but I don't want to do it all on my own. That's why I'd like some help of some "editors". This wouldn't be your actual character being an editor - I'm just looking for anyone who wants to make some contributions to the newspaper by writing up little pieces or articles about whatever. It can be mundane stuff. I mainly ask because at some point, a few players expressed in a similar thing (writing up little lore pieces or stories from the perspectives of typical Lost Lands residents (not player characters)), but I can't find where that post is. So anyway, here's an opportunity to do something like that! If you're interested, let me know, either here on the BBS or via email (rias@contrarium.net).
The lore compels me!

I think that sounds very interesting, and I would love to be a part of it.

You say, "Um."
a Mistral Lake sentry arrives from the east, armor clanking.
Kent heads north.

I'm all for this. I'd love to contribute.

I'd be interested in helping out with this as well. I'm not sure how you plan to set this up as far as procedural stuff, but here's a suggestion.
Feed the following to the writer:
setting brief, specific location, general area etc "Inside the Hanged Man in front of the bouncer" "on the plains west of the butte"
give really brief details such as who was involved, deaths, rescues, riln stolen, monster sighted (to be identified or not), etc.
a very brief context of the situation.

an example from GM to writer:
Brittlebranch forest, southern portion.
Death: Name of person.
context: killer unknown, suspected to be the brigand that roams those woods. felled while felling trees/foraging/unknown.
