Nelra

Post by Orris »

Is Nelra stationary? It has tents and wagons and it's in the semiarid desert so it would be cool if it moved now and then.

But my main question is this: Has Nelra been there in the Dry Prairie a long time? I was considering having one of my characters be from there but I want to make sure that's okay after reading about people saying they were from Valeria in that other thread. More precisely I was going to have him be a shepherd from the Dry Prairie area so he wouldn't have to be from Nelra specifically but just from that area, and I wanted to see if it would be okay if he said he often went to the camp at Nelra for supplies when he needed to during his life.

Last but not least if there could be some wildlife added to the area around Nelra that would be nice! Coyotes or jackals, iguanas, gila monsters, desert hares or jackrabbits, bighorn sheep, gray foxes, raccoons, turkeys, owls, hawks, snakes, and bobcats are all critters I can think of that might be appropriate for the area.

I'll tak with Zoiya about whether it's stationary or not, as she's the one who made that little hamlet.

Regarding your character history, you can ping me on IRC (whelk) if you want to discuss it more. That goes for anyone else interested in fleshing out their character history. Which reminds me, I have something I planned two Christmases ago that I still need to do.

An old, retired shepherd has been seen lounging about Nelra. Deemed too old to watch after flocks anymore, he's desperate to find someone who will sit and let him talk at them for a while and pass on his skills. Being particularly proud of his marksmanship and sling skills, he's also willing to teach people how to play the flute as he did in days past to wile away the hours out with the flocks on the dry prairie.
