A complicated issue.. Why does it cost more energy to dodge an attack then it does to attack? Is this a mistype or the intent?
It only costs 2 energy to attack anywhere from 1 to 4 times.. It costs 3 energy to dodge each assault.

That's a bug. It should be taking 5 energy to attack. Apparently, casting spells that don't have an energy cost specified as otherwise has been properly taking 5 energy, while attacking, firing and hurling has only been taking 2.
That's probably not what you wanted to hear, but the energy-loss:damage ratio has been lowered to 1:1 (rather than 2:1 as it was previously) to help compensate for that, as well as help players deal with the increased combat effectiveness of critters since a bug was fixed and they're now allowed multiple strikes, off-hand strikes and shield bashes the same as players.

The lore compels me!
Is it intended that dodging costs more energy then parrying? I will test out soon how shield play effects things.
