The first (of many, hopefully) practice weapon is available as something crafted from medium branches. You can CARVE SWORD to attempt to make a wooden rudis.
You can practice your sword skill against live opponents, doing much less damage to them than with a real weapon. It's accuracy will be partially based on the carvers ability to carve.

Question: Is this still in effect? Rudis rolls are increased by woodcarving?Rithiel wrote:The first (of many, hopefully) practice weapon is available as something crafted from medium branches. You can CARVE SWORD to attempt to make a wooden rudis.

Re: Practice Weapons
If you want to do minimal damage as I would think one would in most situations where a carved weapon is being used, shoot for lower quality.
Re: Practice Weapons
Oh! I thought the post meant that your woodcarving skill would influence your rolls when wielding a Rudis
