I have a question about Aero Shield.
Is it supposed give a +10% dodge bonus in addition to a +20point dodge bonus?

Could you add in a 'disperse' command to release shields without removing a channel? Also allow them to target one element at a time?
ex.
>Pyro
>Hydro
>Channel Shield
Two Shields are currently up
>Disperse Pyro
Pyro Shield drops but pyromancy is still channeled
>Aero
>Channel Shield Aero
Aero and Hydro Shields are currently up
>Disperse
No Shields are up, but three channels are active

I thought it was harder (and required more energy) to maintain a pattern than just simply channeling. Out of curiousity, why do you think the added energy costs should be removed?
20:21:01 [CHAT - (a mysterious GM)]: With obvious effort, Zuki pries up a thick scale over a drakolin's chest! Zuki spearhand-strikes the soft, unprotected area under the scale! Heart ruptured, death follows immediately. A drakolin lets out a final bellow of rage and falls lifeless to the ground.
The cost was originally put in when when channeling did not cost energy. Now that they do, the cost to maintain shields have doubled.

I think it would make sense to have Air Shield also help the caster stay in position ranged longer.
This would help them be a bit more mobile, and attackers would potentially be fighting a headwind as the shield pushed gusts at them to distract them and keep them at bay.
Edit: Oh, or better yet a passive chance to move back into ranged position while this is active while trancing.

Kent raspily says, "You are a magic user. That is not well."
You ask, "Why not?"
Kent raspily says, "You use unearthly forces."
You say, "On the contrary, earthly forces are exactly what I use."

Re: Ability: Shield Pattern (Condensed)
Do you gain skill in the given element while the shield is up?
If not, that's one reason why you might want to remove the added energy cost.
Also, how big is this shield supposed to be? Just point blank, right? It doesn't affect anything unless it attacks you right? Fire, for instance, doesn't do damage to enemies in the room just for being up...it has to actually attempt to hit you. Correct?
