Celestium Production

Post by Nootau »

Seeing as Nethrium can be produced by players, when will players be able to produce Celestium?

Never. Celestium is meant to be truly rare. Anything that can be attained by a grind is only as rare as people are impatient, and MMO players are notoriously patient and dedicated when it comes to grinding.

Celestium will only ever be released manually, by myself, during special events, despite clamoring for otherwise by both players and GMs alike.

So Celestium is to be truly rare while Nethrium is only as rare as a player might wish for it to be, which might not be rare at all? I am not second guessing your stance but just trying to make sure I am understanding it.

Nethrium has several restrictions and requirements for both production and use, which are still being evaluated. It is not meant to be as rare as celestium.

Seeing as Nether has a metal, will the elements be able to have a metal as well? (Geo does not count as that just seems odd, but Pyro...)

I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you rephrase?

Can there be a new Metal forged by Pyromancy Master Elemancers, which is infused with pyromatic flares. The metal would not cause alchemical damage to any target, and the weapon is more fragile like blood-glass but the weapon burns, offering a heat damage proc for successful attacks. This can be forged into either Blunt or Edged weapons. If used for Armor, it counts as winter clothing keeping one warm in the winter but unbearably hot in the summer.

Metal can't hold enchantments, unfortunately.

This is a honest question so don't laugh.. Is Nethrium a metal? I thought it was enchanted metal bars.

Will you share what materials are likely to hold a enchant and if Elemancers are the kind of people to enchant things or if it would be a different caster type?

Elemancers have wands and staves, which are made of wood.

I wasn't sure if wands/staves were projected to be retconned as it was iffy on how they worked.
