Creating bandages

Post by Skjotur »

I'm not sure which skill it would fall under, possibly first aid. I'm talking about making a bandage completely from scratch, without having to buy materials, as that would defeat the purpose.

Historically, a dressing was usually a piece of material, sometimes cloth, but the use of cobwebs, dung, leaves and honey have also been described.

I don't know about using dung, but making bandages somehow from these materials that can be found naturally would be awesome.

Along the same lines, it would be nice to be able to make scraps for poultices as well.

Cloth making as well as paper making (depending on the material used) could be a skill potentially tied to the creation of bandages, utilising naturally occurring fibers.
