A missing detail ... what's in the scabbard, or is it empty ?

When you put an axe in your haft-frog, and someone looks at you, they see you have a haft-frog containing an axe.

When you have a scabbard, it would be sweet to be able to see the hilt if there is a sword in it, for example, if you put an exquisite steel shortsword with a bronze hilt into your dark leather scabbard, and then someone looks at you, they should see either

a dark leather scabbard holding a sword with a bronze hilt

or else something like

a bronze hilt protruding from a dark leather scabbard.



And if you draw the sword, it would be nice for them to see

an empty dark leather scabbard.
