SURVEY verb

You can now use the SURVEY verb to survey an area and see if there are any resources present that you might procure. Successfully discovering resources isn't guaranteed, however. Each attempt makes skill rolls appropriate for the discoverable resources. It takes foraging skill to discover forageable resources, for instance. Room conditions can also effect your survey attempts, such as room lighting and fog.

Note that it is much easier to find evidences of an item than finding a proper specimen, so it's much easier to discover the presence of items via SURVEY than it is to procure a specimen via FORAGE, MINE, FISH, etc.

SURVEY can currently discover forageable items, mineable items, and fishing spots.
