Watch your TONE!

Post by Landion »

You will now be able to set a voice TONE. It's pretty simple to figure out.

Tone {type} - sets your new tone.

Tone Remove - sets your voice tone back to normal.

I've only added a few mainstream ones so far, but feel free to suggest more!

Enjoy!

Edit: Currently, if your voice is muffled by a helmet, or other wearable, your tone won't show up until people can hear you clearly. This will be considered in the future along with other tweaks.

Tones...
Angry, hostile, reproachful, mocking, annoyed, amused, excited, gibbering... well, the last one might be more a SPEECH style...

Updates have been made to TONE and SPEECH which should make it much easier to use on a regular basis.

You now have the option to set a tone option or speech option permanently, or for a single said phrase.

Usage:
TONE {type} - Your next phrase said will have that tone.
TONE {type} SET - Your tone will remain the same until you use TONE REMOVE.

Example:

tone bitter

Your tone has been set to bitter temporarily. To make this permanent until removed, use: tone {type} set

speech retort

Your speech has been set to retort temporarily. To make this permanent until removed, use: speech {type} set

'I beg to differ!

You bitterly retort, "I beg to differ!"

'I beg to differ!

You exclaim, "I beg to differ!"

For future reference, I'm usually the one adding these and it's much easier for me to remember if you bug them. Make sure you put tone/speech in the bug so I can search for them. I generally do a batch at a time, so expect it to be randomly added without announcement.
A cheerful jingle intones, "Rithenschmirtz Evil Incorporateeeed!"
[OOC - Candy Mountain, Spearhead]: usually when they're snarky, it's Rithiel
