We're changing how the code handles multiple people playing from the same IP (i.e. roommates, family members, etc. - you are NOT allowed to play multiple characters at the same time by yourself, nor are you allowed to play your own character and your roommate's/spouse's/family member's at the same time by yourself).
Because of this, I'll need the character names of every character that needs to be enabed to play at the same time as other characters. Please separate these by the person who plays them, i.e.:
"My characters are Bob, Stan, and Fred. My wife's characters are Sally, Jane, and Ludmilla."
DON'T post them here!! Send me a PM here on the BBS, or an email (rias@contrarium.net).

Re: Multiple people on the same IP
Sounds like a good mechanic, but I have a question. How will this effect new characters/players? I'm trying to convince a room-mate to try out Clok. Will I and he have to submit details before character creation, or what?
Re: Multiple people on the same IP
The usual thing is you just contact me with the details and character names, and I get you set up. You can do it before character creation so you can both log in at the same time, but it's not necessary to do it beforehand. You just won't be able to play at the same time until I get the info.

Re: Multiple people on the same IP
Awesome, been talking to my brother and my GF about playing.
My brother is a different location with a variable (dialup) ip address. Would that complicate things?

Re: Multiple people on the same IP
If he's on a different IP, there won't be an issue. This is only regarding people on the same IP at the same time.
Just to cover the bases: It's also not allowed to play two characters yourself, even if they're on different IPs. I know some people are tricksy.
