As many know (particularly those who can count themselves amongst the Undying), the Rook Parlour has developed the capability to retrieve the lingering souls of the Undying and return them back to their bodies to restore the Undying individual back to life. Unfortunately, many seem loathe to accept this assistance, as there is a side-effect: It seems as though the process inflicts something akin to a very minor nether-taint to the retrieved soul.
Sorceress Edwena, head of the Mistral Lake chapter of Rook Parlour, has been doing all she can to make public the knowledge that this "tainting" is not permanent - one simply needs to visit a thaumaturge relatively soon after the retrieval process. Contact with thaumaturgic energies will swiftly purge any lingering taint of this kind from the body and soul, leaving the individual completely "clean." However, individuals should seek this thaumaturgic cleansing sooner rather than later, as leaving this condition untended can eventually result in the taint settling in and having more long-lasting effects. Edwena suggests individuals attempt to seek this thaumaturgic treatment within 24 hours to be on the safe side.
The Rook Parlour is attempting to find a way to either avoid this side effect or be able to treat the effects themselves, but as of yet have had no success.

Did Edwena say anything about how Soul Retrievals are totally creepy to watch?
You overhear the following rumor:
"I saw one of those Shadgard folk come barging into Grif's and shoot one of the patrons on the spot. Shadgard must be a pretty rough place with such outlaws running rampant."

I like this because it gives credance to the fact that we are not in fact, a little nether tainted by default and if I'm reading it correctly, nether taint comes from a measure of neglect. It's one thing to believe that we're all tainted, but it's another entirely to push that belief on others because one believes that it's the way something is supposed to be IC.

With this implementation, is it possible to get at least a couple of different NPC monks to get back on a schedule at infirmaries?
Re: Rook Parlour assures Undying that Soul Retrievals are sa
Sorry, we don't plan on putting the NPC monks back onto a rigid schedule. Keep in mind that any thaumaturgy will work, so Templar can help as well as Monks. I don't recall a day in a long time now that there wasn't a thaumaturge of some kind logged in.
Also, it takes a good deal longer than 24 hours before the surface-taint really sets in, but you know how it goes. Give people a set deadline and they'll procrastinate, and then complain they weren't given enough time when they don't meet the dealine.

Is this 24 hours logged in time or real time
