Network Maintenance Oct 26 22:00 - Oct 27 06:00 (EDT)
Posted: Fri Oct 18, 2013 4:48 pm
The service provider for the datacenter where the MUD server is located will be undergoing network maintenance starting on October 26, 2013, 22:00 (10PM) Eastern time to October 27, 2013, 06:00 (6AM) Eastern time. During this time, there may be decreased availability to the MUD, lag, and dropped connections.
As part of our commitment to provide quality web hosting services, we have scheduled our second phase of network maintenance to be completed next weekend. Please read the details below carefully:
Scheduled Date and time:
October 26, 2013 at 22:00 (10 PM EDT) through October 27, 2013 at 06:00 (6 AM EDT)
Maintenance Time Frame:
8 Hours from beginning to end
Datacenter Location: Orlando.DC2
Maintenance Type:
In order to increase the reliability of our network, our networking staff will be performing maintenance to one of our core routers and relocating it to another section of our Orlando datacenter.
Estimated Downtime:
We understand the importance of minimizing any downtime associated with maintenance and for this reason we will do everything we can to expedite the process. This process will result in some increased latency as we will be temporarily operating with slightly decreased network capacity, minor packet loss while the global routing table adjusts routes through our other providers, and intermittent periods of decreased network availability for up to 20 minutes in length while we relocate gateways from one router to another. We will be doing everything in our power to keep any potential downtime to its shortest length, and we will have our senior networking staff on site for this project to avoid any serious issues. We do not foresee any issues lasting longer than the aforementioned maintenance time frame.
We do apologize for any inconvenience and ask that you please plan accordingly.
