While an individual is holding a Lost Lands map (can be purchased in general stores), he or she can use the map command. If at a landmark, you will see something like the following:
Examining the map, you think you are at the Coalition HQ.
OOC you are at (-8, 8).
Examining the map, you notice obvious routes to the following locations:
Mistral Lake (1, 14), which is to the northeast of you.
the Crossroads (Valeria) (0, 0), which is to the southeast of you.
From this, you could do something like map Valeria:
Examining the map, you try to figure out the best path to the Crossroads (Valeria).
south (x 1) Ebon Pass southeast (x 3) southeast (x 5)
Or map nearby:
You look for nearby landmarks and can find the following within ten leagues:
Morhollow is to the northwest.
Mistral Lake is to the northeast.
Ebon Pass West is to the southeast.
Westbrooke is to the southeast.
This is a work in progress, so expect changes as I get a feel for how it works.
