GIVE update

Post by Landion »

The GIVE command is now a bit more intelligent and less ancient.

It still works as before if you want:
Holding an item in your right hand and type GIVE {target} in order to give that item to someone.

Riln still works as before :
Example: GIVE {target} 300

But you can now also:
GIVE {item} to {target} while holding the item in either hand.
No longer GMing for CLOK.

Thanks Landion, no more accidentally offering the wrong item, canceling, and swapping with mutters and blushes.
While planning a trip to the haunted galleon with a bunch of people on ESP...

Yes, thanks Landion for this improvement. And on the heels of this change, and for exactly the same RP reasons as Orris said, could we bring in the SHOWLEFT command (showl for short), which would show the person the contents of your left hand, so this no longer has to happen:
EAvd>
swap
You swap your strumming-pick to your left hand and your lute to your right hand.

EAvd>
show irwin
You show your varnished yew lute carved with intricate knotwork to Mercenary Commander Irwin.

EAvd>

You swap your lute to your left hand and your strumming-pick to your right hand.

Instead, we could in one command
EAvd>
showleft irwin
You show your varnished yew lute carved with intricate knotwork to Mercenary Commander Irwin.
